What more can be said about Nuno Bettencourt that hasn't all ready been said... This guy is a monster on the guitar for sure. However, there are many differsnt sides to Nuno's musicianship. He's done it all... Nuno has had a no.#1 hit on the billboard charts, toured the world extensively with the hard rock group Extreme, and played with some of the best musician's in the world. In '93 Bettencourt won MVP in the Guitar World readers' poll, beating out Joe Satriani, Eddie Van Halen, Slash of Guns N' Roses and Eric Clapton. He also won in "Best Rock Guitar", "Best Rock Guitar Album" (III Sides), and "Best Solo" ("Rest in Peace"). On April 7, 1993 Extreme won "Album of the Year" for III Sides to Every Story, "Outstanding Song/Songwriter and Outstanding Video" for "Stop the World", and Bettencourt won "Instrumentalist of the Year" at the Boston Music Awards.
