The Behringer V-Tone II Electric Guitar Pack

Guitar Tab

Well my sister called me up and wanted to know if I had any suggestions for a electric guitar for her daughter. She was just beginning guitar lessons and really didn't want to spend to much money at first. I told her give me a few days and I would get right back to her. So I went down to the local guitar store here in austin and picked out two different beginner starter packs.

The first one I checked out was the Squier® Strat Pak with Frontman 15G Electric Guitar. I must say... I was really impressed with all extra stuff! The guitar played well even though there were extra light strings on the guitar. There was a couple of small blemishes on the paint job. The amp sounded good without to much tweeking. M-m-m-m not bad. OK... let's check out something else...

The Behringer V-Tone II Electric Guitar Pack - Next, I got this puppy out of the box and set everything up in a jiffy. I started playing and was instantly taken a back by the real feel of the guitar. It felt like a strat. The tones were just like a fender too! The 15W amp is a modeling amp and provides 3 different speaker simulations, amplifier with 27 classic guitar amp sound presets. Check this out too... dedicated headphone output and CD input. You get everything else as you do in the Squire pack and more. However, this package is much less. I asked the owner how much it would cost to ship it to Florida. Nevermind... to much! The store owner said he'd sell it to me for $180.00 plus Tax.

Well... I knew better. I knew Musician's Friend was selling these puppies for 100 bucks a pop. I think shipping is free in the U.S. too! (don't quote me on that!).

A few days later I called my sister and told her which electric guitar I liked and she was amazed that the guitarz came in packs. I told her about the amp and all the other stuff. She said she wouldn't be able to afford it. I asked how much she thought all of it was. And she responded... about $350.00 easily. Nope... a hundred bucks. So she ordered right away and was very happy with everything. Now my niece is sitting in her room for hours trying to get that one cool song down... Smoke on the Water. By the way.... rockers love black. Yeah!
