Epiphone DR 1S Acoustic Player Pack
If you are looking for an inexpensive starter guitar, the Epiphone DR-1S is worth it’s weight in gold. Look no further.... The Epiphone’s DR-1S Acoustic Player Pack is the one. The best thing about it is that it is really beautiful. The sound and quality is better then the cost. I ordered this guitar through Musician's Friend and got it 3 days later. Everything was package perfectly. Once out of the box I just new I had a winner. By the way… Musician Friend really goes out of it’s way to make sure your shopping experience goes smoothly. They even have leaflets inside the box that has their contact information if something is wrong with your purchase. It took me only a little adjusting of the B string and this gorgeous baby was right in tune. You can tell the tuning pegs a quality. Everything was set-up perfectly. Man… the wood grain is so beautiful. There is a sticker on the back of the head-stock with the person who signed off on it. Quality assurance is a must in this industry. I love playing acoustic delta blues on the guitar and the neck and fret board was like satin. No kidding’! The strings were stock strings I guess, and after flying with high altitude, and being in storage across the ocean from asia, there is some slight oxidation on the strings even so slightly. I prefer different string but the ones on there would do just fine. Next thing I did was to check out all the other goodies. The CD is pretty good for the beginner guitarist. Gig bag looks cool too! You get a tuner and picks, a guitar strap. The guitar strap was found packaged in plastic in the gig bags out side pocket. "I’m so impressed with Gibson’s craftsman’s standards. Epiphone is the way to go! I am sure this would be a great guitar for the beginner or for the expert who wants a stunt-double guitar to take around. Overall an excellent buy, very good experience with it."
