Guitarz Forever E-Zine, Issue #006
May 10, 2007
|You know something? If it wasn’t for folks like you gracing my pages here on Guitarz Forever.com… I would have quit building this site long ago. I’m getting over a 1,000 + hits a day! My greatest enjoyment is when other aspiring guitar players write me and tell me how much they really dig the site and the free guitar driven info. I’m talkin’ folks from all over the world. I guess one of the ways I can tell, 40% of my traffic is repeat traffic. Furthermore, check out the musician’s, recording artist, studio engineers and producers that give me their valuable time with writing helpful articles of the profession. The folks that write for me are some of the best in the business. So to sum all of this up, I would like to thank everyone for giving Guitarz Forever.com their support.

Lost Motivation for Playing Guitar
Hey Y’all, wuz up? I would like to introduce you to another great musician Craig Basset. He covers the topic of “Lost Motivation”. Losing motivation for playing your guitar is most likely because you are not making any progress with it. Craig explains the pitfalls that we encounter from time to time. I’m one of the first to raise my hand. It’s only part of the natural process that goes on while building a relationship with your guitar. Remember this… “scientist don’t have instruments to measure the human soul… but, musician’s do!” I am so guilty of letting my playing and practicing slide because of work, family, and this website. However, I’m always thinking, talking, and living guitar. I’m always listening to music, etc. Still, you can have all the knowledge in the world of how to play guitar. But, if you don’t sit down and wood-shed… then you’ll never reach the desired level of playing. “DARN!!!” I know so many guitar players that could be so much better if they really stayed focused and not let the little things clutter up your time to practice and play. STOP!!! Quit making your inner guitar player suffer!!! Set some goals for yourself and create a detailed schedule for your jam time. For a week write down everything you do with times, etc. You will be amazed at how much time you really have in your day.
Rules of Engagement Learning to Rock with Pentatonics 4 PART SERIES - By Scott Allen
One of the most frustrating things I remember from my early days of playing guitar was where to begin to learn to play like my heroes. If you pick up any book on rock lead guitar, they will show you lots of scale patterns, but little or nothing on what to do with them. Don’t get me wrong, it really is important to learn your scales.

"I have this awesome guitar course and I highly recommend it!" - Riffmaster
Let’s face it, really learning guitar can seem like a daunting task. There are so many different things to learn and practice. What you're really looking for is high-quality, step-by-step video instruction that takes you from beginner (or intermediate) all the way through advanced instruction. A thirty-minute “Learn Guitar Overnight” video isn’t going to do it, and advanced instructional videos are usually too specialized and they often assume that you know more than you do. That’s never a problem with Learn & Master Guitar, because it is a complete step-by-step video instruction course that takes you from any skill level, even if you’re a total novice, through the advanced skills training used by the pros. Not a beginner? Just skip through the basics and jump into the more advanced training.
Printed materials alone, when not accompanied by detailed video instruction, can leave you frustrated and confused. Software-based instruction is cumbersome and difficult to use. Private instruction is costly and inconvenient. And perhaps worst of all, none of these methods are really any fun!
Learn & Master Guitar solves all of those problems by combining the best of the instructional tools:
Video Demonstration: The ten DVDs contained in Learn & Master Guitar are really the heart of this course. Each lesson is clearly explained and demonstrated, so you know exactly what and how to practice.
Printed Materials: No one wants to practice along with a video all of the time! The Learn & Master Guitar workbook contains all of the songs and exercises demonstrated in the video lessons, as well as several more, so you can continue practicing at your own pace for as long as you need before moving on to the next lesson.
Jam-Along CDs: This is where the fun comes in! These five CDs allow you to “jam along” with an actual band, using the very same songs you’ll be learning in your lessons. There’s no better way to learn then by playing, and there’s no way to play that’s more fun than jamming with a band. You’ll be amazed at how much more fun this makes your practice time! Your friends and family will be impressed, too, at how soon you’ll be playing such amazing music!
Professional Instruction: Learn & Master Guitar gives you a rare opportunity to study from a real pro. Steve Krenz has been playing professionally for twenty years. He is not only a truly masterful player with a very impressive bio, but also an incredibly talented teacher and communicator. You won’t find a better guitar instructor anywhere. And because it's from Legacy Learning Systems, the leader in in-depth video instruction, you know the training quality is of the highest caliber.
Bonus Materials & Online Support: Since there’s never a limit to learning, we offer our customers even more training materials on a special "Members Only" portion of our website. More songs, more exercises, more tips and tricks, more of everything! And it’s all free for our customers. There's also a Member's Forum where you can post questions for our instructors, read related articles, and discuss your progress with other students. So if you’re one of those voracious learners who can never get enough, have no fear… Learn & Master Guitar has got you covered!
