Guitarist Luiyi Black Side Interview
Guitarz Forever - Hi Luiyi, Hey man.... Thank you so much for taking the time out to do an interview w/ me and my Guitarz site. Give our readers a short but descriptive label for your style of music.

My music, as a way to describe concise, is the perfect blend of classic and modern, as both stages of 'm passionate about music
Guitarz Forever - What's going on in your music world these days? Any New news we should know about?

In my opinion we are in an era where there is nothing new , where cover bands have a place where they would have to be artists who try to create new music or maybe a new genre. You know, the old bands reunited classic Guns n roses as on the other hand we see Axl Rose sings in ACDC, it is rare all. I think we are experiencing something unique. Ojala that times change and we can see new bands, a new MTV or something that identifies us at this time. We can say, ohh yes, we are in 2017. There Spotify compiled 70, 80, 90 and then there is an empty space, as if the current music was part of some black hole or something like that
Guitarz Forever - Introduce yourself and where is your stomp'n ground

I am at the moment a young man from Argentina that began in the district of Haedo in Buenos Aire , I 'm 1983 and grew up with the music of the 90s, I think it is a good reference from which to work
Guitarz Forever - Are there a lot of places to play your style of music in and around your area? If so, could you name some venues?

The style of music I do is in the ear of rockers worldwide, from the United States, where I go every year to Bolivia where I was recently sharing tour with Joe Lynn Turner. Music unites us
Guitarz Forever - What is the name of your latest album and tell us how that album came about.

The name of my last album was "take me away", a disc with long working time, almost a year of production miss the most important musicians of the genre in Argentina, it was sold in many parts of the world and present live 4 countries of America, which toured more than 15 cities. Then he was escorted by a live album on CD, DVD & BluRay. It was an important album in my career, I filled me with satisfaction and I opened the doors to many places I had never arrived.

Guitarz Forever - How do you come up with the songs, is it one song writer or more of a collaboration with other musicians?

Always I write songs accompanied by the collaboration of keyboardist Adrian Bordon who is also a great friend and brother.
Guitarz Forever - How often when you start an idea for a song does it actually get finished?

when we begin to make an album never ends as we imagine, Black Side is a box of surprises as the musicians who accompany us are always changing, so does the songs, when we finished composing end up surprising us because maybe have a totally different energy to what we wanted to reach, in music there is always a turning aura that transports us to a time or place when the song is then finished listening to it several times and live through it can have the final perspective of what left the song in our souls.

Guitarz Forever - Why did you pick the Guitar as your instrument of choice?

The guitar is the extension of the soul and is the instrument that has the perfect dynamic to express what we feel, is perfect.
Guitarz Forever - Are you a schooled guitar player or a self-taught guitar player?

A little of both, although most of my adolescence was a student of the guitar, then I went over big perfecting me, studying in great schools of music of Argentina
Guitarz Forever - So, what type of guitars do you play and why?

Play any guitar because each has something special in a certain style of music ... I have more than ten guitars, stratocasters, les paul, handmade guitars, lever floyd rose , 7-string guitars .... not me like tying only one style of guitar, now I'm thinking about getting me some estillo 335 and firebird guitar ... my passion
Guitarz Forever - What type of amps do you use? Do you use different amps for the studio vs live shows. If so, why?

with the amps I am very select , I like American tube sound , I never liked the English sound clasico, my ear is much accustomed to a style of audio and can not change by more you want, the way you touch will influence as I hear, so I am very fussy about my live shows with sound, and studio 'm very pretentious. I am currently an English company amplifiers as endorsed artist and model use has a clear American sound ... is a great paradox, but I'm very happy with my current sound
Guitarz Forever - Do you have any endorsement with instrument and gear companies?

yes, I am representing many prestigious companies currently instruments like Ernie Ball Strings, Morley Wah, Laney Amps, Mars custom guitars, antinodo Correas, Joyo Effects and Kirlin Cables of which I am a good friend and we have an excellent relationship. I try to put a lot of effort on my behalf, because it is the recognition that I got for my career, and I am a great grateful. It is a caress the soul prestigious companies trust in what I do .
Guitarz Forever - How did you first get into the music business?

You never really know when you are in the music business, I try hard not to feel like a business but clearly it is ... I prefer that my manager such matters deal .... but what was achieved with much sacrifice and perseverance
Guitarz Forever - Where do you see the music business today?
currently the music business makes disaster, so we see a new Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin a new, or a new Beatles ... The big record companies support the call and not talent ... then the music is infected socially . It makes me sad to see great rock bands playing for 20 people, that is due to the lack of press rock musicians. This fashionable disposable music, but I am confident that everything will come to stabilize.

Guitarz Forever - Do you do social networking? If so, what are your facebook and twitter web addresses?

Relationships do all the time on social networks , Today is Contact Great Allied musicians, and is a great tool. My facebook and twitter are Luiyi Black & Black Side Side, my official website is

Guitarz Forever - Who have been your main influences on your career to date?
My main influences Were Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, you know, the true fathers of rock.

Guitarz Forever - How has your guitar playing evolved over the years?

Currently I feel I am fully evolved, but learning never end,  but I'm living a musical maturity that makes me surprised myself and can propose to beat every year.
Guitarz Forever - What’s the best thing about playing your own music in front of a live audience.
the best of it is that I can speak freely to people, and I'm lucky to be accepted in many places and be recognized, I fulfill dreams all the time and get to places you never imagined reaching. I am grateful to great music.

Guitarz Forever - Who are you listening to these days?

I'm currently listening to a lot of rock of the 90s, is a very interesting rock era was not fully evolved, began as a fashion and cultural environment then quickly disappeared.
Guitarz Forever - By the way, who would you say were your biggest influences when it comes to playing guitar as a kid and now today?

When the child was listening to the same bands I listen now lol. It is very funny how certain songs I listen transported back decades, strongly affects my mood, current bands learn a lot about sounds, because the musical technology advanced a lot and we are fortunate that this classic evolved. Then I look constantly learning from current bands on the sound and listen to old to learn about composing music. It is the right balance.
Guitarz Forever - Please give us three top musical goals you would like to achieve this year.

I set three goals this year, the first is to finish my next album Atlantis, the second is to continue maturing with the music ( that too is a process ), and the third goal is to have an optimal physical condition to achieve what my mind I ask, because you know, everything is a balance, mind, soul and body. Music is art and good growth is to feed all work areas .
Guitarz Forever - Is there anything else you’d like to achieve in your life personally and or as a musician?

As a musician I want to make it to the ear of many people more with my music, to realize my European tour, as I have several proposals to begin in Spain. Personally I want to achieve the perfect balance between soul, mind and body. I'm very focused on that. I can then propose any challenge in life, I had many and still having them, you know, it's part of life.
Guitarz Forever - I also don't want to forget this... Tell us about any other things you may be in involved in or any special interest besides music that is close to your heart.

Music is the expression of the soul, the only machine of real time, the only touch our mind , music is the real drug that we encouraged to do anything, my goal is always to pay tribute to the music that gave me so much.
Guitarz Forever - I would like to thank you for your time and candor with our loyal readers and keep on fighting the good fight to bring us some awesome music
