Guitarist Carlos Lichman Interview

Guitarist Carlos Lichman Interview

Scott - Hi Carlos, thank you for agreeing to do an interview w/ my website Guitarz Forever.com ... Give our readers a short but descriptive label for your style of music.

Hi Scott! Nowadays, I’m totally focus on instrumental hard rock music. Of course, some influences from classic metal from 80’s as well as some pop stuff from 80’s too. Well, you know, working as sideman I must add new influences to my playing to keep me updated but my own solo music has a huge influence from middle 80’s.

Scott - Where do you live, play live, and  record?

Since 2015, I have been in Europe and playing around. Sharing my time between Poland and England. However, I recorded with many guys from different places even from my hometown in Brazil. The internet helps us to keep connected and makes our life easier. I have my own home studio, I have a professional gear and I can record guitar lines and produce any time I want or I need. My last 2 solo albums I recorded here and since 2013 all the session recordings for other projects I do here too.

Scott - Tell us about you Newest Video "WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY THE MICE WILL PLAY"

This video is an idea I had after arrive in Brazil. The drums were recorded in London and I recorded the bass and the guitar in Poland. As soon I arrive in Brazil I talked to my buddy Denis Barros owner of DB productions and we began to work on the project. We took on afternoon and he took 3 days for the final edition. In the end, people can watch the final result. The fans enjoyed the final result and I receive very good comments about it in Facebook and e-mail.

Scott - How many albums do you have out? Names and where to buy?

Scott - What are you listening to these days?

When I’m not listening to something I must learn to play or record I use to listen to the same old bands from my teens as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, Dio, Deep Purple, Van Halen, Mr Big, Dokken.

Scott - I also don't want to forget this... Tell us about any other things you may be in involved in or any special interest besides music that is close to your heart?

Well, I love studying new languages as English and Polish. Living in Poland and UK I need to improve my skills to a next level. When I’m at home I take one hour to study each language.
