"I am a guitarist who has been asked to teach kids the guitar. As a way of giving back I am not charging for lessons. Because of your site I'm able to teach in a fun way, and I am excited for them." Denver - South Africa
"I'm a 39 year old self taught guitarist having played from the age of 11. I work at a secondary school in Essex, England and teach a handful of guitar students part-time. I would consider myself a fluent and quite versatile player but (typically self taught) my grasp of music theory is not great. This looks like a great site and I'll be exploring it with great interest over the next few weeks." Thanks, Dave - United Kingdom
"Currently studying I.T. technology services, and play guitar everyday! love guitarzforever.com, visit it everyday! I’m 19 Years old and live in Daytona Beach, Florida. My favorite guitarist is Kirk Hammett from Metallica." John – United States
"54 years old, playing for my own enjoyment for 40 years and still an amateur, recently bought a Yamaha combo from Costco and a Digitech RP 50, having fun and a renewed interest in playing, I was raised on 70's rock so I’m learning new things thanks to your website, thanks." Gary – Canada
"Love the website! Fantastic! Great links! I am just getting my Guitar skills together and you have helped me. Also, thanks for the great links and introductions. You rock over there!" Jay - United States
"Hi there I would like to thank you for this wonderful site. I've been playing guitar for almost 3 years. What I want to learn is the best methods to improve the speed of my solo, and if there are any practices that might help me to be faster... your student." Ahmed – Bahrain
"Your time is precious… It’s the only resource that cannot be renewed or recuperated. So protect yourself against false starts and dead ends."
I was on MySpace a few months ago and came across this artist / musician / guitarist Prashant Aswani. I think I was checking out Steve Vai’s page or Santriani’s page on Myspace and clicked on Prashant’s picture on the message board. His music loaded and man was I floored! Why haven’t I heard of this guy? I was kind of ticked at myself that I hadn’t heard of him before now! “Prashant is the thinkin’ man’s guitarist!” His arrangements are definitely mind expanding...
Well... I was checking out MySpace.com when I came across this guy Bumblefoot. Started listening to his music and was instantly a fan. Wow! Mezmerizing and dazzling are words that come to mind. BumbleFoot
I grew up in the late sixties in South Africa and started playing guitar in hard rock bands right into the seventies, initially groomed on a heavy dose of Clapton and then literally blown away by Hendrix followed by monster injections of Sabbath(Toni Immoni); Deep Purple (Blackmore), Zepplin (Page) and so it went on until the super heavies like Malmsteen, Rhodes, Gilbert, Eddie Van Halen (the master finger tapper) Satch (still my favourite) and Via and many others, all of whom just seemed to kind of arrive and literally explode in the eighties.
